Sublimation T-Shirt Printing

    Sublimation T-Shirt Printing has been around for a while, but lost popularity in the 90’s as people moved away from wearing polyester clothing in favor of more natural fibers.  The in the late 90’s companies like Nike, Adidas and Under Armour began re-branding polyester as “moister wicking” or “performance fabric” and with the launch of entire lines of polyester clothing for athletes, Sublimation T-Shirt Printing re-launched and there is no sign of any slow down.

 

    Using 100% polyester fabrics, or polyester fabric family members like Rayon, Nylon, Satin, Spandex etc … garment decorating companies like DOPOO Manufacturing have been producing some amazing artwork all over a T-Shirt canvas.

 

    In the past, Sublimation T-Shirt Printing was limited to cut and sew projects, where the sublimation of the garment had to be done before it was sewn into a garment, but recent advances in technology have enabled companies that specialize in Custom Dye Sublimation to create masterpieces of walking T-Shirt art, using post sewn garments. i.e. T-Shirts that are already T-Shirts not fabric panels waiting to be sewn into a T-Shirt.

 

    There are some limitations to post-sewn custom dye sublimation, but none worthy of mention that would prevent someone from starting a custom Sublimation T-Shirt Printing project.
